Sights of China, Shanghai

Shanghai, what I can relate it to is New York City, it is the hip town of China, where all the trendy restaurants and the most fashionable people stroll down the streets trying to find the next fashion icon, business genius and such.
It is a city full of lights, I think it really shows it's splendour at nights when everyone is out and you can appreciate the wonderful view of this town!

Sights of China, Imperial Gardens - Beijing

This is one of my favorite places I have ever visited, you feel so peaceful walking around the imperial gardens, I can understand why almost every Emperor decided to live in the gardens instead that in the palace at the Forbidden City. I can not imagine how majestic this place should be at nights with the moon shinning over the river while you take a walk around the bridges that adorned this magical place, of course as everything in China it is a little crowded with tourists and street vendors! But it is hard to miss the good vibes.

Beijing Sights, Forbidden City

I know some of these pics were already posted, or maybe it was on my FB, but anyways these are some of my favorite sights while we walked through the Forbidden City while in Beijing, the architectural beauty and attention to detail is just breath taking... I will have some more in a different post from other historical places! Enjoy!

Bistro Zelko, Heighs Dinning

Two nights ago my husband and I decided to have a mini date night, we wanted to take advantage of the amazing weather in Houston so we were looking for a place with outside seating. Immediately a cute little bistro popped into my mind, Bistro Zelko! located at:

705 East 11th Street
Houston, TX 77008-7111
(713) 880-8691
This small but very sophisticated restaurant is a local temple, the food mainly home made recipes made
with organic products are divine! Simple, but you get everything that you are expecting on every bite!
My husband as an italian food lover ordered the spaghetti bolognese, the sauce is a little different that most,
I would say a little more sweet, and not as thick, but you can definately taste the freshnesh of it all!
I ordered instead the meat loaf with mashed potatoes, what can I say, the portion size was perfect, the meat
was very juicy and perfectly cooked, the mashed potatoes were heaven! I would have preferred the tomato
sauce again a little less sweet, and I did have to add a little bit of salt to my food...

Dessert, ahhhh my favorite part of the meal, we ordered a tres leches, that was amazing, I would have added
some more of the milk in it, but that is just me, I love my tres leches to be drowning in milk! lol
I would highly suggest this place it is fun, unique and local!!
